Newborn kittens in the Bronx shouldn't face the cold alone.

Let's triage together. Answer these questions to understand the kittens' needs and how we can help.

❓ Triage Checklist

  • 🌡️

Are they warm to the touch?

Hypothermia is life-threatening. Newborns need constant warmth.

  • 🐱

Is there a mother cat nearby?

Has she been coming and going? Never separate healthy litters from their mom.

  • 👀

    What's their rough age?

Eyes open/closed? Umbilical cord present? Wobbly or walking?

  • ⚠️

Critical: Healthy mom = leave them

If a mother cat is present and feeding them, let them stay together. Intervene only if they're truly orphaned.

About Bottle & Blanket

Our Story

Bottle & Blanket Kitten Project began one winter when a Bronx neighbor found a box of newborn kittens abandoned behind a building. With no mother in sight and temperature dropping below freezing, she knew she had to act.

Today, we've grown into a small network of dedicated volunteers and foster homes, united by the belief that every kitten deserves warmth, care, and a fighting chance at life.

Our Mission

We rescue orphaned, newborn kittens too young to survive alone. We coordinate emergency intake, connect finders with resources, and recruit compassionate volunteers to provide 24/7 bottle-feeding care until kittens are ready for adoption.

This is a fictional nonprofit created for demonstration purposes. All kittens, fosters, and staff are fictional and do not represent any real NYC rescue organization.
